The Overview


KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital (KPJ PSH) is formerly known as Medical Centre (Johor) Sdn Bhd. It has been in operation since 1 June 1986 and was taken over by Johor Corporation on 1 March 1993. KPJ PSH is a subsidiary of KPJ Healthcare Berhad (KPJHB), the largest group of private healthcare provider In Malaysia. We are accredited by Malaysian Society For Quality in Health (MSQH) on 27 March 2013.

KPJ PSH is strategically located at the Larkin area, about 2 minutes drive from the Larkin Central Bus Terminal and 10 minutes away from the main city centre. It is also easily accessible from Senai International Airport, Stulang Laut International Ferry Terminal, Puteri Harbour Ferry Terminal and neighbouring country, Singapore.

KPJ PSH offers a wide and comprehensive range of services which includes Accident & Emergency Services and Intensive Care Services for adults, children and neonates. Other services include Medical Ward, Surgical Ward, Urology Ward, Orthopaedic Ward, Paediatric Ward and Maternity Ward, Nursery, Diagnostic Imaging Services, Laboratory Services, Physiotherapy Services, Rehabilitation Services as well as a well stocked Pharmacy Services.

Currently, KPJ PSH is operating on 151 bed capacity (Executive, Premier and Normal Wards) with 31 Resident Consultants, 6 Sessional Consultants and 9 Visiting Consultants. The services cover a complete range comprising Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatric with niche specialist service in Neurology, Paediatric Surgery as well as Spinal Surgery.

Senior Citizens (65 years and above) in KPJ PSH will enjoy privileges such as green lane services at selected service area, discounts on long term medications, medical screening packages as well as many other personalized services.

KPJ PSH embraces Malaysia's aspiration of becoming a nation of healthy individuals, families and communities. The key to good health maintenance therefore lies in prevention and going for regular health screening check up. To this effect, KPJ PSH offers health screening packages which tailored to individual needs or as required. Health Screenings are normally conducted on an outpatient basis in the morning. A medical report on your overall health status will be made available on completion of the health screening.

KPJ PSH has always support government initiatives to promote better healthcare to the society and government move on promoting breastfeeding to all newborns. KPJ PSH is the first private hospital in southern region that has succeeded to receive Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) certification from Ministry of Health.(MOH)

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), KPJ PSH plays a role in promoting health awareness to the public at large. As part of its activities; KPJ PSH provides free medical camps in the rural areas, conduct baby wellness programs and healthy lifestyle campaigns as well as establish Support Groups.

Fully certified with MS ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, KPJ PSH believes that it is essential to ensure delivery of quality healthcare services to the customers. Quality improvement activities such as Innovative and Creative Circle (ICC) projects and Suggestion Schemes are also carried out throughout the organization to ensure that the level of services delivered to the customers is always maintained and continually improved.

The Specialist Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Support Staff and Managers have moved from being a care giver to being a caring giver. KPJ PSH has achieved certification in ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) in year 2010. The aims are to identify safety & health and environmental hazards, assess the risks associated with these hazards, priorities these risks, plan preventive actions and put up control measures.
